    Hi

    I notice the DNN 9.6 ships with a simple webfarm caching provider.

    Are there any webfarm configuration guides that relate to setting up and configuring for DNN Platform.

    I can see in the system info page there is a Web Farm Enabled setting but can't see where to enable it.

    Also is there any info available on how the web farm caching provider works and is configured.

      Neale,

      I will work to get some documentation prepared on this as soon as I can. But here is the short version.

      In the web.config you will want to set the IsWebFarm application setting to true, this will enabled you to work in the Scheduler to set specific servers to run jobs. You might also need to change the settings for the Client Resource Manager (bottom of web.config) per the recommendations.

      As for server configurations there are a few options.

      * Single Network File Share & Multiple Web Heads
      * Isolated Web Heads w/ DFS or otherwise for replication

      For the caching provider included in 9.6.x and later to work you must be able to navigate to each of the nodes with a unique name. For example https://server1ip or https://server2ip. This means that Azure Auto-Scale is not supported with this provider.

      You can enable the provider using the settings under Performance.

        Any update on user guide or documentation for this?  When I set the app setting IsWebFarm=true I can see in the Servers > System Info > Web Farm Enabled: True

        However when I then update the CachingProvider from "FileBasedCachingProvider" to "SimpleWebFarmCachingProvider", then the webfarm setting reverts to false in Servers > System Info > Web Farm Enabled: False, even though it is set to true in the web.config?

        I did find the dnn-platform-simple-web-farm-overview-202007.pdf document, but it does not reference IsWebFarm=true that you reference?
