Hi, I am running DNN 9.6.1 with Extensions 'CK Editor Editor Provider 2.1.27' , and 'DNN Connect CKEditor Provider 1.0.8'.

Which is the latest version of CK Editor that I can run inside DNN 9.6.1?

    Thanks
    Tom

I think that the best answer is: the version of CK Editor and the provider that are delivered with DNN 9.6.1. Going beyond that requires that you create a provider.

Thanks for your response Joe -
I've been going around in circles a bit on this. Here's where I've landed:
I'm running DNN 9.6.1, and I've got both the 'DNN Connect CKEditor Provider' (v1.0.8) and 'CKHtmlEditorProvider' (v2.1.27).
I've noticed that I (and many users) prefer the editor functions when using the DNN Connect version (the upload function works better for example) . However, when using the DNN Connect version, I am having trouble getting the text selection function to work in the editor. (So that when you select text in the WSIWYG editor and then switch to source code, the test stays selected). I've tried installing the text selection plugin there, but still can't get it to work.
If I could get text selection working with the DNN Connect Editor Provider, that would be great.

On the other hand, if I use the 'CKHtmlEditorProvider' (v2.1.27)' , the text selection works, but the editor upload function isn't preferred. If I could go back to version 2.1.17, (which I have running on a backup website running DNN 9.2.2), maybe the editor would go back to the preferred version. But I can't install 'CKHtmlEditorProvider' (v2.1.17)', it doesn't allow it because I already have the newer version installed.

Do you have any suggestion? Or know where I could find more information?

        Thanks

        Tom

If the differences are configuration items in the CKEditor, the best place to look would be documentation for that.

If the differences are in the provider, then you'd have to modify one of those.

IMO you should focus on " DNN Connect CKEditor Provider " as the other one is archived and not developed any more.
