I can put them in, but then they disappear from the code when I open CK Editor again... they are still visible within the generated HTML
Is this a bug? Is there a way to stop this stripping of the coding?
This is a security function of the CKEditor that prevent users form entering unauthorised HTML. You can read more about this "ACF" and what editor configuration you can change to prevent this here. https://ckeditor.com/docs...st/examples/acf.html

You can very granularly set ACF, simply swtiching it off is only advisable if there are no "external" users editing content (like in a forum). For more granular configuration: https://dnncommunity.org/...-is-cleaning-my-HTML
