I am running an instance of DNN with multiple unique domains.  Can you install an SSL certificate for one site without affecting the others?   DNN 9.02.02

Yes. The SSL certificates are installed in IIS for each IIS website, and a single IIS website can have multiple installed certificates.

There are also wildcard SSL certificates that can secure a primary domain and subdomains.

Thanks! .. so if i understand it right...

I have 4 websites running on a single instance of DNN all non-ssl at the moment.

        examples:   www.111.com, www.222.com, www.333.com, www.444.com

I want to apply an ssl cert to www.333.com.

So i just get the cert installed correctly.. and then flip the ssl security settings in DNN for the www.333.com instance.

The other instances can run http un-affected.

        www.333.com will run https://

        Correct?

        Thanks for you feedback!

If you have acces too IIS I would use the Url Rwriter module for these redirects.

              Hi Timo

No I do not have access to IIS

I think the only solution i have is to purchase a UCC SSL Multi-domain certificate.

This has generated another DNN question:  The common name when generating the CSR for the domain must be either www.mysite.ca or mysite.ca

As I understand it, this means I would have to use up 2 domain names on my cert to cover both

If I set the alias to mysite.ca in DotNetNuke and the common name in the csr to mysite.ca ... is www.mysite.ca secured?

Is there a solution so that i don't have to use up two domains on my multi-domain certificate?
