    Hello

I am using DNN 9.7.02, I have logged in as Superuser, but the 'Edit Icons' which are usually located at the bottom of the page are missing.  I have tried logging in, using another device but the issue still exists.  I have not recently installed a module or changed anything.

    Please advise.

    Thank you

Is the pencil icon used to turn those on and off visible at the bottom of the Persona Bar?

Check your browser's Console window to see if there are any errors listed.

        Hi Joe

Thanks for your reply.  All the icons were missing including the pencil in the Persona Bar, but it was the edit icons I needed.  The only thing that was showing on the Persona Bar was the DNN logo, at the top left-hand side, even though I was logged in.

I am pleased to let you know that the Persona Bar has only just returned in full including the pencil, which now allows me to enable the bottom icons.  But I don't know why any of the icons took hours to become visible.  Could I or somebody have accidentally switched off the Persona Bar? If so how do I prevent this from happening again?

        Thanks

My guess would be that your website got restarted, and that's what did the trick.

            Thanks Joe

Yes that must have been the issue.

This happens to me quite often, unsure why. Earlier the pencil icon was missing, so I refreshed, and it's back. But sometimes, like right now, half of the toolbar is missing. I noticed this happens a lot when I'm editing a page, I have the page loaded in Firefox in one browser, and editing in Chrome. In Chrome it has the icons but Firefox it does not. This is not a temporary cache problem, I've experienced it very consistently when trying to build forms, because it doesn't let you see the forms - so I use another browser - but I still have to login on the other browser, because of the form permissions. I don't think it handles that very well, two of the same login, or something.

                Dan,

Which version of DNN are you using?

Are you using a custom theme (skin)?

If you are using a custom theme, create a test page, use the Xcillion them for the page theme, and add some modules. Does this page work correctly?

Also, use the browser's developer tools to see if there are any obvious errors in the Console window.
