Upgrading DNN

    I am attempting to upgrade from DNN 08.00.04 to 09.01.01 (a recommended upgrade step) and the installer fails the with following error. Please help.

    Upgrading DNN

    Current Assembly Version: 09.01.01

    Current Database Version: 08.00.04

      Hi,
      Which package are you using for upgrading? There shouldn't be a \DotNetNukeGlobal folder...
      Go to https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Platform/releases/tag/v9.1.1 and be sure of downloading the "DNN_Platform_9.1.1.129-232_Upgrade.zip" package.

        There's a file that DNN needs to delete which it cannot access. This is often a result of virus scanning creating locks on files. Can you exclude that file, or pause your virus scanner during the install?
