DNN API for external App and Azure Authentication

    Hi Everyone,
    my external Angular Application it's working using DNN APIs with JWT authorization and now I would like my Angular application users can do an Azure authentication, get a token and use it's to fetch data from my DNN endopints.

    To do This I'm trying use the the Azure AD Provider Module by David Rodríguez

    working with Built-In Dnn.AuthServices.Jwt ClassLibrary

    If I try activate the JWT module I get  and error  (please check image below), my DNN instance crashes and I am forced to do a new DNN installation ... of course I tried this configuration from a DNN (v. 09.08.01 ) fresh application without any code customization.

    What am I doing wrong? Can anyone suggest me a correct way to do this API configuration?

      Not sure, but my guess is that Azure AD Provider Module uses a different version of the System.Identitymodel.Tokens.Jwt assembly. If that's the case, you might be able to fix it with an Assembly redirect on your web.config.

      One thing to watch out for, is the .net version of both. You need the lowest required .net version to get both to work.

        Hi Stefan,
        thanks for your suggestions, I checked the System.Identitymodel.Tokens.Jwt assembly and it appear to be the same version. I don't know which end.

        I tried to to send an email to Mr David Rodriguez and I hope he can support this issue. In the meantime If anybody's got a solution, please, share it.

        Trust me, it's a great good cause.

          You can use this DNN 6 Rest api plugin which I found on the DNN store.  https://store.dnnsoftware...cation-authorization 

          This plugin includes third-party token compatibility as well as a graphical user interface that may be useful.
