I have existing DNN website and I want to run it on another hosting. I changed the hosting. But now i am getting this error

    Install/InstallWizard.aspx

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    The resource cannot be found.

I can not find Install/InstallWizard.aspx file as well. But why it is trying to install it again??? Is it not already installed? which table in db should i check for this error?

Note: I got database, it has data but i am not sure if that is complete data or no.

You will need to supply some details, including the DNN version and also details of the steps you used to move the installation.

Also, I deleted a duplicate of this post.

At a minimum you need to:

        1. Move the database.
        - Verify the connection string.
        - Edit the portal alias table if you are changing the domain.
        2. Move the files.
        - Make sure that the IIS worker task has full permissions to the directory and subdirectories.
        - Edit web.config to connect to the database (verify using same connection string or data to connect using SSMS.
3, Create an IIS website that points to the File directory.
        - Set the bindings correctly.
        - Install SSL certificate if needed.

I have done all steps you mentioned except ssl certificate.

I can not see DNN version as Version table is empty. also users table is empty.

I checked most of the tables has data but few tables do not have data. I need to know what tables should have data to run dnn website?

Note: Database connection and iis is working fine.

If you don't have Version or Users tables with data in them, I wonder if you have a good copy of the database from the original host. Do you have the ability to check there?

My first try would be to clear the index and reindex.
