Creating a Custom Provider

New Around Here

So I was looking to create a custom provider to authenticate users after our partner updated their API to be REST (yay).

    So I found

    https://stackoverflow.com...hentication-provider

Which led me to an old post

    https://www.dnnsoftware.c...hentication-provider

It made sense that nothing was linking anymore because of how long the post had been.

So I went to the documentation and found this:

    https://dnndocs.com/conte...reference/index.html

But where it said "Create your own" it linked to the same post above.

If someone could point me in the direction of where to get this that would be great.

The remaining resources are sound, but what you really should do is use them and the built-in authentication providers to guide you initially. At the end of the day, though, you're going to need to implement it using a combination of those examples and those provided by the third-party service. It would be somewhat unique for each implementation. Sometimes it's a single line of code difference, or it can also be vastly different altogether.

        Will,

I wander if there is a possibility for my Auth. provider to have a pop-up Login widow?
