Standardize on Version of JQuery and jQuery UI

In looking through the files in the Install package at its basic, jQuery has files referencing multiple versions of jQuery.

    • \Resources\Libraries\jQuery\03_05_01\jquery.js (Version 3.5.1)
    • \Resources\Libraries\jQuery\03_04_01\jquery.js  (3.4.1)
    • \Resources\Shared\scripts\jquery\jquery.js  (Version 3.4.1)
    • \DesktopModules\Admin\Dnn.PersonaBar\scripts\contrib\jquery.js (Version 3.2.1)

On top of this I have custom modules that I have built that I tried to use one of the above, but had to force it to load (again sometimes) Version 3.5.1 and now Version 3.6.0 is out as well.

Can DNN be standardized on one version of jQuery and have one reference to load it and in only one location? Also for jQuery-UI I sometimes get funky looking jQuery effects (sometimes one close button on a dialog and next time a different looking close button). This probably goes back to different versions of jQuery-ui being loaded.

I programmed back a while ago in DNN (version 4 and 5) and am recently coming back to it at version 9.8 and it can be confusing which version of jQuery/jQuery-UI is loaded and what features are available. Not sure if I missed something from over the years but when I look at when a page is loaded, multiple versions of each are sometimes loaded which I am sure at best is wasted bits being sent to the page and at worst causing bugs that could be difficult to track down.

    Thanks.

Normally DNN only loads one version of jQuery.
Where did you find those paths?
