I noticed that the language cookie is a session cookie.
Wouldn't it be more logical is it would be a "permanent" cookie?
I'm using an EN browser and when I visit an ML DNN site, it never reminds my language choice.
Every time I re-visit the site I'm directed to the EN pages, which becomes quite annoying on the long run TBH.
Or am I missing a use case?

Did you set your favourite language in the browser settings? Normally it should work that way...

Hello! I want to return to this topic. I have two sites. On one of them, when you enter the site, the last choice of language is saved. The second cannot make this setting. Have there been any updates? What are these settings and how do I apply them to the second site? Thank you.

Can anybody help with the mentioned issue? Currently we have two web-sites on the same version of DNN (v. 09.10.02). For the first visit on the web-sites, the language shall be automatically changed according to the browser language. If the user changes the automatically selected language, for the future visits, the choice shall be saved with accepted cookies.
On the first web-site last choice of selected language is saved and it always displays with the last selected language. On another one, it always automatically detects and chooses the language according to the browser language and never saves the user's choice with the cookies.
Are there any settings how to adjust it?
            Thank you in advance!

As my understanding goes about this matter, there is no language cookie. The website displays the language based on the web browser language from the end user.

there is both - a temporary language cookie and, if not, DNN tries to identify preferred language from DNN user profile (if logged in), website alias and browser preferences.

In the situation we met, the manually selected language cannot be saved for the next session on one of the portals.
There are no problems regarding the identifying the language by the browser or other.

If that's the case, and you're not sure if it's a bug or not, it might be a good idea to create an Issue in the GitHub repo.  :)
