I am finally able to post this special thank you for everyone working hard on their "spare" time to make the DNN CE project come back to life!

I planted the seed for this website a community site called DNNCE.org or something like that so that those in charge of the project would have something live to use as a reference as to what needs to get fixed up to allow communities to grow healthy online.  I was told dnnce.com maybe too close to Dunce, so I felt like the idea was being shot down... and now this site is up I know that our voices are being heard and people do care here.  I have been using DNN since version 5 moving away from PHP while everyone was moving into it... I see the big picture down the road and I am a believer in DNN CE as a great platform to start building online communities.

I was hoping to buy the EVOQ but it just does not fit in my budget... I have had to use CE and version 9 killed momentum.  Writing all of that off from the Corporate changes that happened I am so dang excited to see the DNN community being revived!  I look forward to all of the new modules and features in the pipeline that we all can work together and achieve our common goal of creating the best open source CMS in terms of security, stability and usability.

Thank you ALL for the support!!! From those making modules for free and to resell to those pushing the next version release making each one very exciting for a long time DNN user like myself.  Riding this bull hasn't bucked me off yet!

GO TEAM, KEEP ROCKING THIS PROJECT!  <3

Cody - fantastic to hear this perspective. I couldn't echo this sentiment any better. Let us know if you would like to get more involved in the community. There are so many ways to contribute and each contribution is highly valued!

I am doing everything I can possibly on the side of all else I have going on in life. I would love to pull a couple more .NET specialists into this project somehow is how I would love to help. I don't think I could ever match wits with someone that is very fluent in .NET and can get a grip on what can be done to take DNN CE to the next level. But believe me I am looking and I have been talking with other mod developers both paid and free asking them to help. We need to grow, newest face I know of is Valadas on Github which has been VERY exciting to see someone with his level and passion join the upper part of the team to help move things along faster. We could use about 5 more of him to join the force along with the other ELITE DNN DEVs that have contributed to this project steadily for years. I beg anyone and everyone to ask your bother, sister or friend that knows a .NET developer to join and help spread the knowledge that was shared with them to help get DNN to the NEXT level. Every little bit of criticism should be accepted as a contribution from the community to help make it better.  A loyal team of unpaid developers trying to oil the wheels as they squeek.

Every member should post thoughts helping  the direction of efforts with this project.  If no one ever talks about an issue even the most simplist it will be overlooked but a squeaky wheels eventually get oil. Be a part of this exciting team full of loving DNN CE enthusiasts I have come to know over the years to know are genuine people trying to help. And the ones posting here or making contributions on github sure feel like a lot of the same type of good folks.

I do have thousands of ideas but I need to put food on my table. One idea I have to help the community as another contribution of mine to you... the community by posting this (which I hope it encourages more people to do) is to put up a donation button.

A donation button that actually pays for outside help to boost certain parts of the opensource project. A place we can drop a dime and see results from that dime... I would LOVE to see this come next on this website as it was my next idea I wanted to share once a site like this existed. I believe you will find LOADS of support that can possibly help bring in more talent to help support the project.

I will be one of the first to hit the donate button, but give it a goal each time something needs done so we know what it goes toward fixed and set a point to the donations collected.  Maybe even an option to put what we would like to see our funds go to in general as weight to what will get fixed with those funds.  Use developers from the outside world of contributors can help give a boost on things that the community feels it can use the most with those resources gathered for such a purpose.  Maybe even an ability to put funds towards different experiences. Such as DNN Admin Experience, DNN User Experience, DNN Performance, DNN NEXT and then those users who are donating can even get in and help give what they feel needs addressed.   All for one, and one for all!

I just found out that DNN is now .Net foundation which is Awesome! I was hoping back when I posted this to help out the moral here a little and let you know you are all very appreciated. Now that I know this ship is now fully in community control, when the cat is away the mice can play. And without worry of losing things to another big change. We can now focus on what we all have in common.

I just found out how this project is now .NET foundation couple days ago and now I understnad that everyone in this community using DNN really has a new fork of our own.  One that truly is the main focus for a cool platform to flow ideas off of and learn how to make pull requests and things of this nature.  You get shot down but really you showed everyone a way not to do something or possibly a new issue to look into.  Regardless try to learn to keep it short and to the point.  As you can see I have a hard time with that.

I had no clue... sorry for being hard on anyone if I ever came off that way as I no longer be in need to use the word Corp or Evoq... and can think of just an open source community. This fits my ultimate goals I dreamed of when I started using DNN. It is like a dream come true to be a part of this transition. Even if not one pull request gets put through at least I know it is the community listening without outside interference or pressure to use anything we dont all feel is the best solution.

I will calm down here eventually with my excitement but seeing this as a pivot point I feel we can now grow as a .NET community that all can share the same dream and passion for this CMS on the web.  It's time to really think about making DNN mobile friendly in version 10 (User Experience since we seem to be doing the admin Experience for version 9 if I am correct?) and then Dnn.Next using .NET Core which will be able to use all current modules in the Core platform.  Introducing the new parts without breaking the old parts without a version to make the ultimate change.  This is what I have gathered so far and am sharing on this post.  It has been fun working with everyone since the change I could tell something was different... just didnt know how it was split off.  Great news!

One day at a time... hoping that bright light at the end of the tunnel not to be a train :)

I appreciate everyone's support, I really hope to see a great workflow and more enthusiasm from others help ignite DNN like never before.

              New Around Here

Awesome stuff Cody! I agree and it's great to see people stepping up in various areas and taking on shared responsibility of the platform. We have a great community and are heading in the right direction, it's great to see. We welcome your enthusiasm and energy and hope it is contagious to others in the community. Keep rocking out yes
