Good Morning.  I recently upgraded our site from 7.2 to 9.10 and the older module I was using for a newsletter archive no longer works. I am looking for a comparable module that is compatible with 9.10.  In this module registered users were able to see a list of older newsletters in PDF format and had the option of viewing those online or downloading them.  I tried downloading the newest R7 Documents module last night as it looked to be the updated version of what we had, but I can not for the life of me get the extension to load properly in 9.10.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been using the Repository Module: https://github.com/DNNCommunity/DNN.Repository/releases  on our intranet which is V9.10.02.  There are a couple of repository skins you can modify that I think will give you what you are looking for.  The image I'm posting is our help doc library: https://tlcgis.org/Documents.jpg  which does everything you were asking for except read the pdf from a link but I'm pretty sure you can modify the template to do that or put a link to it in the description.  The doc library is using the metro repository skin.  I used another instance of the Repository Module  for video.   The video will play when I choose the image but I didn't set up the download feature for those: https://tlcgis.org/Video.jpg.  I'm using the portfolio skin for that one.

      I hope that helps.

Why would you not use the resource manager?
(Besides from the fact that 9.10.x is not playing nicely with composite files)

You can just drop the module on a page, set the level and the permissions.

You know, I never noticed the Resource Manager.  It was sitting in my available extensions.   That's a more elegant solution for Kyle Leatherwood.

The resource manager is e replacement for the Digital asset manager.
The resource manager is not depending on Telerik and therefore not vulnerable for these known issues.

There are some UX issues and if you have composite file activated, you can not manage the resource manager. But if you know this, you can use the extension.

For getting rid of Telerik, I recommend reading:

Thank you all for the suggestions!  The Digital Asset Management with a specific folder permission looks to be the perfect solution.  I could not for the life of me remember what the module was called.

                Kyle,

you should get rid of the Digital Assets Manager asap and replace it by the new Resource Manager, as it uses older Telerik components that are vulnerable.
