    Installing DNN with sql express (free) . How much Gb of data this can support & if there is a chance of this crossing the limit . Which is the best practise any advice please

      Shankar,

      the limit for a relational database is 10 GB (this and other limitations see here). There is no way to extend that limit in SQL Server Express, but it should be sufficient for most sites and use cases, except you a lot of files in the DB, or you have really large sites, and/or use only one installation of DNN for multiple sites.

        SQL Server Express works fine for small and medium sized DNN installations, however, for best Database Management you may consider using SQL Server Management Studio and I strongly suggest using an attached database instead of file based (as created, if you are using "SQL Server Express" option in DNN Setup Wizard.
