We are looking to move to the new version of DNN from a very old version (6.2.6).
I've installed DNN 9.10.2 on a seperate dev computer, installed our custom extensions and pointed the database connection to a copy of our older database (6.2.6) which "triggers" an upgrade "/install/UpgradeWizart.aspx".
I don't know if upgrading 6.2.6 to 9.10.2 is an option, is it? Really don't want to keep the older site, we need to move to new servers and all. Can I upgrade the database only and connect the new 9.10.2 to the database?
Any suggestions, opinions, comments are welcomed.
Thanks
Thanks for the help, so I'm doing the suggested path 06.02.08 > 07.04.02.
When I go to the upgrade wizard I receive a compilation error "CS103: The name 'Localization' does not exist in the current context" on the line:
In the file UpgradeWizard.aspx
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately. Compiler Error Message: CS0103: The name 'Localization' does not exist in the current context
