I used UMG for years and it was amazing in features. Have not had a site in a few years now with my new site it seems the dev of UMG has gone MIA and the module has not been updated in some time. So I got EasyGallery. I have been using their EasyNews module so seemed logical. However, while the Gallery is.. fine.. and does the job it is pretty basic vs UMG. For example I can't move images from one gallery to another. If someone uploads to the wrong gallery all I can do is approve it or delete it.

Does anyone know of a robust gallery module like UMG? I poked around in the DNN store site but the only one that kept coming up that seemed still supported, updated recently was EasyGallery. Did we lose all the other good gallery modules?

    Any input, suggestions appreciated.

Well, EasyGallery is indeed a good one. Mandeeps has the Live Content that will also support gallery, if I recall correctly. Of course there are also Open source alternatives like 2SXC and OpenContent.

I think there also lies the answer. All four are very good options. Besides, non-developers oftens choose themes that come with a lot of goodies as well. This also includes galleries, sliders etc.

I don't know if I'd call EasyGallery "good". That's pretty generous. "adequate" or "usable" I feel is far more accurate. Again when I can't even move images between galleries, that's a pretty fundamental lack of a gallery module feature if you ask me. And making suggestions to them is about as fruitful as talking to a wall. They seem to have 0 interest in suggestions or feature requests. At least the vibe I got with my interactions with them. I honestly feel their module is overpriced for what you get. But with being the "best" option and no one really competing with you, you can do that unfortunately.

That said, while not ideal seems mandeep has the better options. I will have to look into that, thank you for the input.
