Trouble finding correct entries in resource file (.resx) to translate

I am translating a page from english to slovenian. While I managed to get most translations done either on the module directly or in the .resx files in local/global resources (the correct name value pairs were already there, just waiting to get translated), I can't seem to find everything.

For example, the my sign-out button, there is no entry in resource files for it. Another example - copyright info on the bottom of the page.  There is an entry for it in the .resx resource file (under desktop modules in local resources) and the translation in the sl-SI (slovenian) .resx, but the translated copyright info only gets displayed on one page, elsewherte it remains english. I looked everywhere for other copyright entries that needed to be translatet, with no success.

This leaves me with the following options:

    - 1.) I must either create a new entry in .resx and .resx(sl-SI) resource files and translate it. Which I think means I also need to add some lines of code elsewhere, like in View.ascx.resx, code like

       < data name = "Copyright.Text" xml : space = " presrerve " > < value > & lp ; span & gt ; -.......

    and I would probably also need to write the function < % = GetTranslation( " Copyright.Text " ) % > somewhere.

    - 2.) I need to link the entry that already translates copyright info to the page where copyright info is still in english.

I don't know how to do either, and am unsure if either is the right way to solve my problem.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

      Rene,

I am using Notepad++ to find entries in the resx files sometimes. E.g. you have the string "The file already exists", I goto Search >> Find in files..., enter "The file already exists" in the "Find what" textbox, "*.resx" in the "Filters", the root directory of the DNN installation in the "Directory" and check "In all subfolders". When you have the filename, it is easy to do the translation in the language editor...

      Hope that helps.

      Happy DNNing!
