    Hello,

Can we upgrade from DNN 9.3.2 to 9.11.0? On this link upgrade path for DNN 9.11.0 is not listed.

    https://docs.dnncommunity.org/content/getting-started/setup/upgrades/suggested-upgrade-path/index.html

Recently DNN 9.11.1 was also launched, is there any critical issues in DNN 9.11.0 which can be critical. Please advise if any one has done these upgrades.

    Regards,

    Alok

        Hi Alok

I have done the above quite happily from version prior to 9.3.2

Follow the path in the link you have mentioned.

I would recommend, if you can, a dry run on a test system.

When upgrading the Live system take file and database backups at each version change. It's easier to rollback to a "last good" update, than going back to 9.3.2 and starting again.

Do some basic checks of any modules you are using, don't just rely on the site firing up to assume all is working

In addition to that: check esp. pages that use third party extensions, such as modules, skins (themes) etc. If your site is using another language than English, also check for newer language resource packs.

BTW: You can include extension upgrades in the DNN upgrade. Unzip the installation pack, copy the extension upgrade pack (zip-file) in the appropriate folder under /install (e.g. language for language resource packs, module for modules etc.), rezip the installation pack and unzip it to the web root of your installation.

          Happy DNNing!

            Hi

One area to keep a specifc eye on is the change from Digital Asset Management to Resource Management extensions, used for SuperUser in Site Assets and Global Assets.

If you sites use this to allow the extension, on another page, for other users to upload (manage files) you may need to check permissions and module settings to ensure they can still do that.

If you need further info / help post a response to this message

            All the best

            Dave
