I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Clint Patterson. Today is his last day at DNN Corp.
I met Clint in 2011, I believe, at Day of DotNetNuke Orlando. This "southerner" approached me, wanting to pick my brain about starting a DNN user group in his area. It ended up being quite an interesting event and evening (which seems to be a common thing across all DNN events).
Fast forward to today, Clint is one of my closest friends. I've had the honor of leading him formally at DNN Corp, and informally in the community. He's one of the most genuine, kindest, and community-minded spirits we have.
His contributions to our ecosystem over the years would be severely discounted if you were to ask him directly. But, in truth, his efforts over the years have had a huge positive impact on the energy and growth of our ecosystem in all aspects. Be it DNN Summit, the forums, Twitter/Facebook, Slack, partner program, etc. He's continued to help us all.
I'm super-excited to see him as a good ol' fashioned community member again.
Thank you, Clint. You're a keystone member of our community, and I can't wait to vote you back into MVP status again.
Thanks, Clint! And keep up the good work.
One of the first things I showed my wife years and years back was a cake in the form of the DNN logo, created by family Patterson, my wife was impressed. Even so, I was impressed by the enthusiasm and motivation Clint spread out over the community. I still remember an ignite session where he motivated that having a southern guy in the team would be a great asset.
Clint was team member, in the community at first, DNNCorp later, then back to Community only, and again with DNNCorp. And now? Again back to the community only. And I am happy that he remains in the community. The existence of the community as it is today is to a large extent based on the efforts in Clint.
A big THANK YOU from me.
I wish you all the best in your new adventure and I am looking forward to meeting you again.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, I don't deserve them. I'm just happy to be able to work together on a project like this with such great people as yourselves. I think I'm the one who should be saying "Thank You" to all of you.
Lesson to learn from all this --> Passion and energy can overcome lack of intelligence!
Now let's keep the momentum going and continue to do awesome things together!
