Enabling Localization & Add Missing Lang to Page Fails

    Hi,

Just wanted to leave an informative post about some problems I was facing, when enabling localization. We were initially on an older DNN version (4) that did not have native localication support.

The process to translate all the pages failed at a certain percentage. Then I found out that I could enable localication for some pages that did not get their localization initially. However for some of the pages this workaround did not work and nothing happended after clicking on the "Add Missing Lang." button.

After having some rest, I remembered that there were some redirections configured in IIS using the URL Rewrite IIS module. Disabling the corresponding rules, affecting the pages I wanted to translate, fixed this issue. Initially I thought there was probably some corruption in the database, due to the long upgrade path up to 9.4.1, but am glad that this was not the case.

Just in case someone else runs into this problem upgrading from older DNN version, without native localization to a newer version.
