Strange intriguing problem

    I know it is an older version of DNN but this has me intrigued. I don't need this site and can just delete it and create a new, later version of DNN, site.

    What I don't understand is why on one PC it works and another it doesn't. Both PCs are running the same version of windows with all updates applied.

    The only difference I can see is that SQL Express on the new PC is v13.0.5101 but on the older PC is v13.0.1742. I don't think this should matter, should it?

    I have a development instance of DNN 922 on one PC running as expected.

    Recently I copied it to a new PC, copied the db and setup the website in IIS just the same as on the old PC. All worked fine up to yesterday.

    This morning when I power on the site comes up as expected but when I login the persona bar is empty!

    I have tried:

    •  resetting folder permissions
    •  copying the files again
    •  restoring the db again
    •  recycling the app pool
    •  restarting the website
    •  deleting the website from IIS and re-creating it

     
    all without success. The site on the old PC is just fine.

    Looking at the browser console I see:

    TypeError: s.PropTypes is undefined referencing /DNN.PersonaBar/index.html

    I also see:

    Invariant Violation: "Minified React error #130; visit https://reactjs.org/docs/...&args[]= for the full message or use the non-minified dev environment for full errors and additional helpful warnings. "

      Hmmm, I went to lunch, came back and refreshed the page. Voila, the persona bar is back!!!
