Use of portal to database synch

    Any guidance on the good, bad and ugly of sycnhing a database to a portal. When, how, what sort of thing?

    Need to understand this better and capture some experienvces?

      I'm not sure what that is.

      Are you referring to syncing the sites files to the Asset Manager? If so, you should only need to do that if you add files to the file area for a site or an installation, either by manually copying files to a site directory or using FTP. In that case, you'd want to sync global assets if you copied to /portals/default or local assets if you copied to /portals/xx.

      There is a scheduled task that does this for you, but you have to wait for its schedule, or run it from the Scheduler PB tab.

        That it is a scheduled task makes sense, might explain why lost content seems to come back later. Will have a look at the sceduler, thanks.
