    Hi. I'm new to DNN, all the info I found so far is outdated and is not helping much.

    I need to make a list of items on page (4 items in each row). This list should be created dynamically and if there are up to 7 items - they are lined up in 1 or 2 rows, bu if there are more then 7, then place for item number 8 is filled with button "show more", which expands full list of items. And each item has link to separate page with detailed info about current item.

    Looks like it's best done with database and dynamic data select, but books about DNN are for versions 4-5 and even installation didn't work that way. I found 2sxc app and video-instruction for creating something similar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXmcSUVcnPw), but it didn't help neigher: it's for much older version and didn't work for me. I got stuck on adding items to list of questions. There was no button for that.

    Help me please: which free modules can I use for this purpose and how do I learn to use them?

      I use the Open Content module for this https://opencontent.readme.io/

      But you probably have to either change an exisiting template or create your own (but once you understand the basics it's not difficult)
