    I've tried several times to copy a DNN installation from one server to another, along with its database. DNN 9.2.2 at the moment. If only it didn't throw exceptions right away I think it would run normally.. but I get this concerning the OutputCacheModule:

    [NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
       DotNetNuke.HttpModules.OutputCaching.OutputCacheModule.OnResolveRequestCache(Object sender, EventArgs e) +513
       System.Web.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +141
       System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStepImpl(IExecutionStep step) +48
       System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously)

    Has anybody met this problem and conquered it?

      Have you tried clearing the cache on the website before running it? I'd suggest using the clear cache feature as described in this video:

      https://www.youtube.com/w...-0y8o5EBYVcCY2yzhTZk

      Next, stop the current website to remove any locks on it. You can do this in IIS or your respective hosting control panel.

      Now, delete all cache from the following folders:

      - App_Data/Search
      - Portals/_default/Cache
      - Portals/#/Cache (if it exists)
      - Portals/#-System/Cache

      (Replace the numbers above with any relevant portal ID, as necessary.)

      Leave any Placeholder.txt and ReadMe.txt files you find in those folders, but everything else can go.

        I tried your suggestion, though unfortunately it did not make any difference. I still get the null reference exception having to do with a caching module. What else could it be I wonder?

          Hmmm... That's all I've had to do in the past.

            I found an old post on the DNNSoftware forum on the same topic. Once again it was Will doling out the good advice. There are suggestions in there that have not been said here yet. It might have your answer. Hope so. https://www.dnnsoftware.c...null-reference-error
