Vanjaro is an initiative from Mandeeps. It is built on the DNN platform but currently, there is very little information at hand. The official launch will be at DNN Summit so we'll be excited to hear more.

Having said that, our first responsibility is DNN platform. If Vendors or volunteer contributors develop modules, themes or other solutions, we very much welcome that. We don't adjust the roadmap just to do a vendor or contributor a favour. If there are technical challenges to overcome or additions we welcome to the platform, we gladly discuss options, pros and cons. A great example is the 9.5 release where DNN Sharp did an amazing job and helped pushing the DNN platform forward.

From my perspective, Tycho is 100% spot on. The DNN Platform is full of extension developers and those that extend the product.  In situations where someone makes something entirely new/different upon the platform it is often a good thing, however, I don't think it is really about us supporting it or not.

Vanjaro is an entirely different system that leverages part of the DNN Platform.  I hope that as time progresses they might contribute improvements back to the DNN Platform.  However, until that point, Vanjaro will be an option for the community to consider at their own risk if it meets their requirements.

In many ways, Vanjaro is like Evoq in that it is a custom distribution of DNN Platform that has been modified in some manners to achieve their goal.  There is nothing wrong with that, but it isn't anything that the community can "support" from a technology perspective.

            Dear Mitchell
But Evoc is not free or cheaper price. It's very expensive for most if customers.
Dnn should see other platforms how to get more market share as wix.com. because it's very simple for all, free or very low cost and very good support with clear documents and videos...

I love dnn because it's very strong and professional but I can working with dnn and make for clients. We should walk to bigest market by make it easy for use and good looking and faster than before.

The official launch will be at DNN Summit so we'll be excited to hear more.

Tycho, we're not officially launching at DNN Summit; but we'll have few announcements.

Vanjaro is an entirely different system that leverages part of the DNN Platform.

Correct. Precisely, it leverages DNN as a Web Application Framework and builds upon it.

I hope that as time progresses they might contribute improvements back to the DNN Platform.

Absolutely! It's crucial for us to contribute to the DNN Platform.

In many ways, Vanjaro is like Evoq in that it is a custom distribution of DNN Platform that has been modified in some manners to achieve their goal. There is nothing wrong with that, but it isn't anything that the community can "support" from a technology perspective.

Correct. For an analogy, it would be similar to asking Telerik or CKEditor to support DNN Platform because these products are used within DNN Platform. Similarly, DNN Platform is used within Vanjaro; but it's a separate product.

But Evoc is not free or cheaper price. It's very expensive for most if customers.

Vanjaro is Open Source and will be free for all, forever.
              Sincerely,
