DNN 9.5 Skin Short codes are behaving badly

I am having substantial difficulty with short codes being altered by the DNN editor upon save/reload. It's a brand new DNN 9.5 installation running locally. I have done the recommended changes to the CK Editor config as recommended in the documentation. I've tried also to go back to default editor configuration, nothing seems to help.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

For what it's worth, my editor ProtectedSource looks like this after removing the elements recommended in the documentation:

    ( /[\s\S]*?/gi ),( /[\s\S]*?/gi ),( /[\s\S]*?/gi ),( /

Which DNN, and which version of CK?

I presume that you are pasting html and code into the HTML module.

One absolutely foolproor approach would be to use 2sxc to replace the HTML module for such things. Create a content type that has a single text field, and paste your code into it.

With a little more effort, you can create views that separate the HTML (in the content type) from the view. That way, you can have a App or Content for each "short code," and do that only once. If you are doing something list tabs, with multiple items, just make your view a list, and all multiple content items.

That is really the smart way to do it!

(You can get really carried away, and make CSS an App Setting and ... never mind ...)
