    Hi.

I am New to DNN. We have been trying to resolve an error on our site. ive spend many hours trying to find a solution yet unable to.

recently the website was jeopardized so we had to migrate the website. since then, we are receiving error Multiple controls with the same ID '661_HtmlModule' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

    InnerStackTrace:

       at System.Web.UI.Control.FillNamedControlsTable(Control namingContainer, ControlCollection controls)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.FillNamedControlsTable(Control namingContainer, ControlCollection controls)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset)
       at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessPostData(NameValueCollection postData, Boolean fBeforeLoad)
       at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I am completely out of ideas and have nowhere else to look.

    Please can anyone assist

Which version of DNN are you using?

Also, which did you start with, and how did you get to where you are now?

Hi Joe. Sorry for late response. Time Zones.

        This Is DNN 7.04.01.

what ive done is follow the usual method of migrating. backing up the data, migrating to the new server, creating folders, permissions and IIS config. this issue is one of the reasons why we Migrated. yet it is still occuring.

I have even attempted to upgrade it yet the same issue occurs. the page produces a "DNN Error" site unavailable 503.

Hope this is the Info youre requesting

        Kind regards

So, this was happening on your site, then you moved the site to a new server and the error continues?

On the old site, did you do any upgrades prior to the error occurring?

Can you post more of the error message?

One suggestion -- switch the page to a standard skin and container. To do this you may need to edit the Tabs table in the database to change skinsrc.

As someone seems to have tampered with your site, they might have been hacking around in the database.
Check out the TabModules table and look for moduleid 661. It might be placed on the page twice, which you normally cannot do but it could cause an error like this.
