    Hello all,

We were using Onyektech UserManager, but it seems like they're no longer continuing production of their module and we're looking for a replacement but having a hard time.

Ultimately we want a non-administrator user to be able to manage users and create the accounts, set passwords, set emails, set custom fields - things like that.  We don't want this individual to be able to edit pages, or be able to perform the functions of administrators.  We've been using Onyektech until this point, so we already have a role that would be for this concept.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into our same dilema and how they solved it?  Most of the modules are either VERY outdated, don't function how we need it (not looking to import users or things like that), or are up to date but didn't even work.

    Thanks!

      Hi Erik

Thank you for joining the forums!
I think one of these will do the job for you.

The DNNSharp add on requires ActionForm or ActionGrid, so that might be something to keep in mind.

Both vendors are top notch which I highly recommend.

Just trying to help with some additional information.

With Live Utilities the process of editing users would involve exporting them to a csv file, working with that data in Excel including changing user data and adding or deleting users from the list, and then importing the csv back into the website. I'm not sure but I think you have to be an administrator to do the export and import.

With the User Management add-on for Action Forms you would need to build a new form of your own that includes the additional fields and actions that the add-on provides. Just letting you know that it will probably be just what you need, but you are going to have to build this form. It will not come out of the box ready to go. There are people in here that could help you get started or even more if you asked.

Ref. Eriks prev. question, is it currently any module that:
            - allow a non-administrator user to be able to manage users and create the accounts, set passwords, set emails, set custom fields - things like that
            - we don't want this individual to be able to edit pages, or be able to perform the functions of administrators

The suggested DnnSharp or Mandeep module is not viable options.
