Hi, all. I've seen this posted in the old forums and others chimed in saying they too were trying to figure it out but was never answered, either way, so pretty much reasking it. I would like to give a non-administrator role the ability to Create and Delete pages in DNN 9.
I know that, if the user has edit permission for a particular page, that user can access the "Pages" control through the persona bar. I would like to give them access to the entire page management system so that they can add, delete, and reorder all pages for which they have edit permissions.
Is there a way of doing this? I have played around with the persona bar permissions in the database but haven't had any luck yet. Happy to hack something into a place or edit source code if needed. Just seeing if it is fundamentally possible before going down that path.
AFAIK that is not possible in default DNN. I would advise you not to change the PB code fo this, it would lead to upgrade issues in the future. Your best option would IMO be to create a cutom module for this or a Persona Bar extension.
Not for free but if I recall correctly, Mike created 'Shine' that has those capabilities. https://www.scotiacode.com/products/shine
He was one of the first to work on a UI that is closer to real life workflows.
Cheers
Tycho
