Page published but not Translated, use case?

    We had an issue with a login page (in the second language on the site).
    It redirected to the default language when you clicked "Reset Password".
    A side effect was also that the login page was not reachable as a host.
    After some investigation we found out that this page (a ML site with 2 languages) has

    [ ] Translated
    [x] Published

    In the "Localization Tab" For the second language.

    After checking Translated. the issue was fixed.
    I don't see a use case for having a page in a language Published but not translated or am I missing something?
    Shouldn't DNN set Translated when you Check published or does anybody see a valid use case for not doing so?

      it doesn't make sense, but this is caused by the lack of a proper translation workflow in DNN Platform. Replacing multi-value "state" by multiple binary flags is an archtectural flaw, which usually causes a lot of headache
