we are using DNN v 9.6.1 Reservation module: 7.3.3
Today our Reservation module - automatically sent out thousands of old booking confirmation emails messages. Dating back 3 years to about 6 months ago.
We're still investigating and not sure why this has happened. Has anyone had this issue before? It seems odd how this has happened suddenly and we're not aware of any outlook service that could have done this. It has never happened before. Only that has happened recently on the DNN cms is the system was re-started on a development server and recycle bin emptied. Unless the module was on an old page in the recycle bin which then forced the system to re-resend confirmation messages..?
just found this in the server admin logs:
our problem (emails first started) at 16:21 (server time could be an hour behind). so I guess it looks like DNN is responsible somehow..? Does it sound plausible that emptying a recycle bin could inadvertently send out an email to every webform contact from years ago?

in our scheduler info history... 3714 email reminders were successfully sent yesterday and the scheduler is showing success for the reservation reminders every 30 mins since then. however, before the 3714 email reminders were suddenly sent yesterday, the job always failed! i'm just not sure why they failed before and why they run now.
now i'm thinking that restarting the server wasn't resoponsible (as i've done this many times before). and maybe emptying the recycle bin was just coincidence too..?

I'm not sure what this means yet. Trying to google it but it seems quite generic..."The error 'The given key is not present in the dictionary' simply means that the dictionary does not have a value that corresponds to the key".
No work / changes whatsover have been made to the reservation module in the last several weeks and the scheduler runs every hour!?
looks like the reservation module isn't supported any more.
I have disabled the scheduler. It's just strange how it started sending reminders without errors all of a sudden, whereas before they always failed.
We have the same set up on live environment (on the same server) - as this all happened on our development version of the CMS - and the scheduler (set up identically) was still failing and not sending reminders. I have also disabled this scheduler on live environment so this doesn't start to work randomly and send another 3000 email reminders from here too!
Our development environment was cloned from the live environment CMS a few months ago.
