Hi -
I just upgraded our website to DNN 9.9.1, and running Links version 7.0.1.
We've seen some issues with user files permissions in the Links module, and I'm wondering if I should upgrade Links. I see that there are newer versions (7.0.4 and 8.0.0) at GitHub, but don't see anywhere which version to use with DNN 9.9.1.
Does anyone know? Thank you
Tom
I went ahead and upgraded to Links 8.0.0 ( on a test website for now) . Looks like it's working. I do still have the issue I was seeing after the DNN9.9.1 upgrade. The issue is that when the user selects the Link Type: File option, a message comes up: "You don't have permission to see the files on this site." That never happened before I upgraded DNN to 9.9.1. Any idea how I could fix this? Thanks Tom
Since you're on a newer version of DNN, you should be fine upgrading to the most recent version of the Links module. In fact, your upgrade process should always include upgrading any third-party/custom/commercial/open-source extensions you have installed (and remove all extensions that are not being used).
Thanks Will, I did upgrade Links to version 8.0.0.
Still seeing the permissions issue though
