DNN admin panel functionalities not working after DNN 9.10.02 upgrade
After upgrading DNN 8 to 9.10.02 the admin panel functionalities & content edit not working. I didn't follow the Upgrade path. Now my App's dnn version is 9.10.02  What I need to do for proper working of dnnApp? Do I need to follow the upgrade path again like:-
    08.00.04    09.01.01
    09.01.01    09.03.02
    09.03.02    09.10.01

you should have followed the upgrade path, however:
      - which version did you start from
      - do you see an error in DNN event log / log file in /portals/_default/logs folder or console of your Browser?
      - did you make sure to clear outdated files from /bin folder and subfolder as well as /desktopmodules/admin subfolders?

Yes, you need to follow the upgrade path. You should also carefully read the release notes for EVERY SINGLE ONE of the versions between where you started and 9.10.2. In the 9.x series, there are places where there are breaking changes that you will have to deal with.

It looks as if you are starting at 8.0.4. There may be some changes in the 8.x versions, but I don't remember. So READ THE RELEASE NOTES.

Hopefully, you have a backup made prior to the start. My advice would be to install that in a local or development environment, and work your way through the changes. Don't forget to make backups after every step. You may have to revert more than once.

Finally, if this seems like a daunting process, you might want to engage the services of someone who knows how to do all of this. Google around and you will find them. If you'd like recommendations, write to me privately.

I had a similar experience whilst upgrading back in November of this year. You might want to look at that post and see if there is anything helpful there. The upgrade instructions are clear...but not crystal.

We had a similar issue (upgrading to 9.6.2). Our admin panel was functional after upgrading to 9.3.2 but was not functional after upgrading higher than 9.3.2. We rolled back to our 9.3.2 backup and upgraded the Search Boost 3rd party module to a newer version before upgrading DNN again from 9.3.2 to 9.6.2 where the admin panel was then functional.

I would suggest checking any 3rd party module extensions for upgrade requirements against DNN the versions and upgrade those extensions if needed as well.

Thank Joe for your reply. DNN 8.0.4 was my first version and 9.10.2 is my current version. So from where I need to start? whether I need to go back to 8.0.4 and follow the upgrade path? Or can I start from the next upgrade path 9.01.01 ?

Thanks Sebastian. Do I need to go back to my previous version DNN 8.0.4 first?
DNN 8.0.4 was my first version and I upgraded to 9.10.2.
I didn't see any error in DNN event logs.
