Over the past four weeks, the DNN Technology Advisory Group has continued its regular cadence of conversations focused on strengthening the DNN Platform and improving how we communicate changes to the broader community.

Meeting Summaries

On Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, and May 19th, the Approvers Group met in furtherance of long-term project support with a few key areas of discussion

  • Completed the release of 10.3.2, the current suggested version of DNN Platform

  • Triage of incoming reported security items from security researchers.

  • Review and discussion of pending larger-feature pull requests, including: Page Header tag Management, MVC Pipeline Enhancements, Async MVC Support, and Serilog changes.

  • Identified suggested next-steps for releases, including: 10.3.3 to handle all smaller outstanding, non-breaking items to be started within the next 2 weeks. After that release is completed, features will be rolled in to create a 10.4.0 release shortly thereafter.  Initially targeting Page Header Tag Management, Serilog, and other administrative backend/dependency updates that have been delayed until a minor version release.

  • Discussed better methods to communicate release candidate testing needs, specifically targeting "Test these items" style notes in the RC for 10.4.0.

At this time, there are no publicly actionable items resulting from these meetings, but the discussions are helping shape the future roadmap and communication improvements.

On Tuesday, May 12th, 2026and May 26th, the Community TAG Group convened with the broader community. Discussion topics included:

  • Discussed community groups, responsibilities, and confirmed the role/responsibility of the group around releases & ongoing support

  • Status check regarding third-party vendor support issues previously reported to the group. No action taken yet due to a lack of vendor response to diagnose.

  • Discussed outstanding larger pull requests and discussed communication and review strategies to help make these items easier to digest for all parties.  Focused on "grouping" items into themes so they can be reviewed step-by-step, creating a final "large" pull request that was reviewed along the way.  (For example, grouping settings together first, with personal bar changes, then showcasing the implementation of those settings in practice.)

  • Reviewed new community suggested changes and discussed possible solutions to these items, and discussed the importance of positive engagement on GitHub with new contributors.

  • A quick summary of the DNN Connect event was shared.

We’d love to have more community members involved in these conversations. The DNN Technology Advisory Group meets every two weeks at 2:00 PM Central Time. If you’re interested in joining future calls, please email Mitchel Sellers to be added to the invite list.

NOTE: The 6/9/2026 meeting will not be held due to travel.
