Getting "..Install/InstallWizard.aspx/ValidateInput" 404 (Not Found) error when trying to go to next step in Install Wizard

One thing that looks weird in those screenshots is the box saying no valid default database connection detected. Are you sure that (local) is correct? Can you connect to that database in SSMS using (local) with the same password? Also if this is only for your own dev machine, I would recommend using nvQuickSite which automates a lot of that for you https://www.nvquicksite.com/

To answer your questions:
1. Are you sure that (local) is correct? Yes.
2. Can you connect to that database in SSMS using (local) with the same password? Yes
3. I would recommend using nvQuickSite which automates a lot of that for you. Tried nvQuickSite before I went the manual route. The failure of working with nvQuickSite sent me to perform a manual install instead. (It also failed with “…ValidateInput 404 (not found)”

Strange, if I am not sure what could be wrong. We do co-coding session on discord if you want to join one (usually Friday evenings) we can try to figure it out. The discord link is on the home page of this site...

If nvQuickSite can't run without an error, I'm still going to question whether the dev environment is missing anything.  None of this makes any sense to me, sorry.   ☹️
