This is a continuation from the previous forum. I  had to re-register on this new forum - is this correct?

Basically had an install working (from excellent Chris Hammond videos) but have come back and always get the 500 Error creaing dnndev.me.

The log file states:-

2019-06-19 08:09:15.353+01:00 [DESKTOP-BLD05UI][D:2][T:1][ERROR] DotNetNuke.ComponentModel.ProviderInstaller - System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Could not load provider DNNConnect.CKEditorProvider.CKHtmlEditorProvider, DNNConnect.CKEditorProvider

I was wondering if my environment needs downgrading:

I have SQLEXPRESS v2017 with 2017 local DB (with Management Studio 2019),  .NET 3.5 (including 2.0 and 3.0) , .NET 4.8 + .NET 1.1  (required for legacy app)

In a further act of desperation I tried to create a separate site i.e. sample.me. This produced the following exemption text:-

Perhaps this has further clues.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any ideas gratefully received – it’s been several weeks now.

Yes it is.
So in short your install worked and now stopped working?

Hi Neil,

1. Yes, you needed to re-register for this new forum. Exporting-importing from the .com website had some legal restrictions that could not be tgackled easily. Thanks for joining us again.
2. it looks like you use nvQuickSite to create tghe website. Is this locally or the 'real' server as well? Personally, I never tried that. Maybe David Poindexter can eleborate on this. Other thing that strikes me is that the .NET versions jump from 3.5 to 4.8. Nothing in between?
Can you find where the dnndev.me is triggered? On IIS level or in DNN?

Timo : thanks for the reply. Apologies for the log files but I seem to have checked all install options many times.

Tycho:

The database is local on my personal Windows 10 machine.

As mentioned I originally followed the Chris Hammond videos - but perhaps with higher levels of some of the components. Other than .NET 1.1 I am not aware of any other apps that specifically use .NET - hence 3.5 and 4.8. Would you recommend a downgrade etc?

The use of nvQuicksite was merely an act of desperation - having checked and double checked the videos to check all options which was becoming quite time consuming and nvQuicksite promised a quicker option.

Apologies but I don't understand your question - where is dnndev.me triggered? I try to launch site from IIS or from nvQuickSite button.

Neil,

I have a few questions...

In response:-

1. What version of DNN are you trying to install?  Version 9.3.2
2. What version of nvQuickSite are you trying to install? V1.4.0
3. Do you know if all the prerequisites have been met? In particular, IIS can be a culprit of many local DNN install issues. You may want to take a close look at Clint Patterson's blog at https://www.dnnsoftware.c...-when-installing-dnn to make sure.

Checked the pre-requisites again and I didn’t have directory browsing or HTTP Errors checked.  Chris Hammond Videos didn’t have .NET3.5 checked either so I also included these.

I have screenshots of th windows features installed but not sure how to add an image/attachment on this new forum.

When I run nvQuickSite I get the following error message:-

HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error

Calling LoadLibraryEx on ISAPI filter "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\\aspnet_filter.dll" failed

Also, you may want to try installing via nvQuickSite, but use a domain other than dnndev.me (e.g., mySite.local) just to alleviate any potential issues arising from previous attempts using the manual approach.

Tried this approach and recived the message:-

Hmmm...can’t reach this page

Try this

Used frustration.local and now have the same result as dnndev.me, namely:-

HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error

Calling LoadLibraryEx on ISAPI filter "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\\aspnet_filter.dll" failed

At least we now have consistency.

Glad that you feel we are making progress.

My IIS Version is V10.0 - is this an issue?
