Hi there,

I have recently signed up with a hosting provider and they have DNN 7 available.

I cannot upgrade to a later version and I am limited to SITE only activities.

As a result I cannot add Extensions such as Skins.

They will not allow me access to HOST or add extensions themselves.

Q: Of the default Skins such as Gravity, Aphelia, DarkNightMobile, etc are any set up to be responsive?

Q: Is it possible to add a Skin manually instead of via INSTALL?

Many thanks,

Kim.

Well, DNN 7 misses a lot of secuirty fixes so that's a bit weird.
You can only install skins if you have ftp acces or Host access. (for security reasons, when you can upload a skin, you can ultimately alter anything on the website becasue a skin can contain server side code)
IMHO a company offering DNN7 without upgrade path is not a good company to host your site with.

I think gravity should be responsive, but I never used it so not 100% sure

I'm with Timo. DNN 7 was released more than 5-7 years ago, it's so obsolete that you may have a lot of security issues, not to mention the huge amount of technological improvement that you're going to miss. I encourage you to find a provider that can give you last versions of software support ;-)

Regards,
Francisco
