I found https://dnndocs.com/ kind of parse. I also looked for books and found some on version 4 and 5. Are there any books or training documenation avaiable for those new to DNN. I see lots of videos but looking for something that follows a more structred path as I'm new to DNN.

I agree that the older books are still good to understand how DNN works (which is important). But it's also true that an intro is missing on dnn docs (or maybe just an introduction video)
The core didn't change. I start working in DNN since version 4.x, the module development skin designing & development still the same. The major area that DNN improves in every version is the performance and the control panel look n feel the db structure has very minor changes.
In short, if you have 4 or 5 tutorial it's enough to understand the DNN
