I have 2 issues and I am not sure if they are related or not 1) the DDNMenu is putting the full domain link as http: without https: I can find no setting to tell it to put the domain or as http:. Should it be putting menu links as relative? web.config friendlyUrl defaultProvider="DNNFriendlyUrl" name="DNNFriendlyUrl" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlFormat="advanced" It seems the logo link also puts full domain and http: also I think the module settings puts http: on the submit button so editing module fails. 2) this issue is weird but might be related. it seems the site redirects to http: and fails to load until I request the same page 3 times. The third time it doesnt redirect to http: and does show the page.

Normally when you visit a site via https:// the menu items should also render as https://mysite.com/etc.. What theme are you using?
not sure how the theme applies. site uses SOYD theme which I guess it a user created theme with a built-in DDRMenu tag in the header with no extra properties assigned. and the same for the logo include. dnn:MENU ID="bootstrapNav" MenuStyle="bootstrapNav" dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" outputs on the page the full url on the link of the logo http://www.mysite.org menu outputs the full url on the menu links to the pages http://www.mysite.org/page1 ... etc I wonder what tells these built in controls to put the full domain into links and also what tells it to put http: vs https:
The theme can matter as there are a lot of things you can confure in it. The way the menu is rendered is defined in a template that comes with the Theme.
A theme developer can manipulate the output of the menu in that template including the the issue you have.
I'm not saying that's the case here, but if I visit my sites through https, the link in the menu are rendered with https too.
On the logo: I use the Core Logo skin object and I see this link for the logo:
<img id="dnn_ctl02_imgLogo" class="Logo" src="/Portals/0/FFLogoBlack.png?ver=n-xI6h1WXgjTMk4_LaAiGQ%3d%3d" alt="DNN9 base">
AFAIK the logo skin object normally does not include the domainnname in the logo url in DNN.
I'm testing on DNN 09.10.02, on what version do you have this issue?
