Hello Everyone:

Have you seen the badge feature in the Community Forums yet?

Documentation: Community Forums Badges

Well, do you think there are any other badges that should be there by default?  🤔

Will, to be honest... I haven't seen this before but checking out the link it'll be nice to be able to mark a topic reply from any user as "the solution" and then, have a badge that allows to count down how many topics have you resolved.

OK... a metric based on "marked as correct answer"?

One other topic (pun intended) I want to gather feedback on is "velocity" vs. "volume". So far, the badges I've come up with are based on number of (metric), i.e. total volume over time. Should there also be number of (metric) over time span (say answered 10 posts in past 30 days), i.e. velocity? Hopefully that makes sense.

Another thing we want to decide is if the “points” / ranks should be retired in conjunction with adopting badges or should coexist? Should we do a one time conversion so users keep their “status“ and convert to a badge for each ranking level?

I believe they could coexist.Different perspectives, people get to decide which one to look at.
