Hello everyone,

I wanted to check if there are any known open vulnerabilities or security issues associated with DNN  version 9.13.9. If anyone has recent information, security advisories, or insights regarding potential vulnerabilities in this version, please share. Ensuring the security and stability of our systems is a top priority, so any details or recommendations for mitigation would be highly appreciated.

Congrats on posting!

We never discuss or disclose new security issues in public. In DNN you have a security center available.

In the release notes of newer DNN versions and/or pull requests on Github you find which depending llibraries (that also might have vulnerabilities) have been bumped.

The currently disclosed security vulnerabilities are available for review in the Security Center. For DNN 9.13.9, here's the result:

In addition to the Security Center mentioned above, we do not disclose advisories instantly, we only disclose them 30 days after a release that includes their fixes has been out, see https://github.com/dnnsof...file#security-policy for more details.

So the general advice is to always upgrade to latest as soon as able to do so.

However we are discussing better expositing the fact that there is a critical issue pre-disclosure (with 0 details), basically just a heads up that disclosures are coming soon and you should upgrade before they come out. This involves a bug fix and a change to the update service which I may try to tackle part of this week (time providing).

But for now, yes, you should upgrade ;)
