Did that happen after an upgrade? From which version?

Nope I did not perform any upgrade. However, prior to this happening, I was deleting some modules.

Could that be the cause of me getting these errors?

Right now, either I get a page that just says DNN error or I get a 500 - Internal Server Error.

You're an MVP!

Did you delete them from the page, or did you uninstall these modules?

If you uninstalled the modules it could be that something went wrong and there are some leftovers in the web.config file...

I uninstalled the module.

If it is an issue with the web.config, how would i be able to rectify this issue in the web.config?

Well... which module is it? If it is a third-party module, you could try to contact the vendor.

Do you have the original installation package? If you unzip it, you will find a manifest file (*.dnn), you may open this with a text editor. If you find a section there starting with [component type="Config"] ([ = <, ] = >)you could find a hint what it writes into the web.config file during installation.

Happy DNNing!

This happened after i uninstalled ddrmenu. I had no idea it would make such an impact on the website.

That is a bad idea - DDR Menu is the standard menu for DNN, and most propably used by your skin.

I would say: Hopefully you have a backup you can restore...

Try this:

- Extract a copy of the DDR Menu's install package fro the Install package of the DNN version that you are using.
- Put the zip file in the install/module directory of your installation.
- Restart DNN.

You may find that you don't have an install folder. If that is the case, you'll want find that folder in the install package and add it, along with everything that is in the folder.

If that doesn't work, there are some other things that you can try, but ... you do have a mess on your hands.

But, as Michael said, having a complete backup of your DNN install is a much better process. (Making backups before you start modifying your DNN installation is ALWAYS a good thing to do.)

Where can I find the install package of DDR Menu? Is there a link where i can download it from?

What would be the other alternatives to fix this problem?
