we need a PR to be able to review, test, etc. We would more than welcome such PRs and we have not refused any PR in that direction.

Daniel, what I'm saying is that the entire community should be actively engaging with this project, helping structure whatever PRs are needed to properly incorporate into the platform, working to funnel funding towards Sacha since he has devoted so much of his own time to getting this accomplished, and embracing this project wholeheartedly. Not sitting around and waiting for a PR (yes, I am being sarcastic ).

John, I was not being sarcastic about the MVC Pipeline

Daniel, I apologize for misinterpreting your tone. Being an angry, sarcastic, grumpy old man is my specialty 

 

 

I do not want to fuel any negative conversation, but want to simply drop in here to call attention to a blog post I made today - https://dnncommunity.org/...e-in-2025-and-Beyond

We have, and will, continue to support the MVC pipeline project and many of us have made ourselves available to Sacha for discussions. My post above outlines a bit about the communication/contribution processes etc.

Here some updates i can give on the MVC pipeline :

I can confirm that we’ve had great and constructive discussions with many members of the community in the beginning of this year regarding the MVC pipeline proof of concept.
We also received good feedback at DNN Connect in May and decided to move forward with it.
We have now finalized the definition of the scope of the project within a small group.

We’re not ready for a pull request yet. :)

But the work done is publically available on https://github.com/DNN-Connect/Dnn.Platform

The next step, I think, is to create issues on GitHub to make the project scope visible to everyone and allow people to comment on it.
The idea is also to start development in order to turn the proof of concept into a pull request in September.

If any of you would like to participate more closely, feel free to contact me.
The goal is to do this in an open manner, in the spirit of DNN!

Thanks for the awesome work on that Sacha, if a feature branch or a "WIP" pull request on the platform repository helps anything (keeping up with rebases, having progressive reviews, etc.) just let us know, happy to help with that effort.

It sound like a good idea. I look at it and come back.
