I’ve just arrived home from the DNN-Connect Conference in Belgium, and I had a fantastic time. A huge thank you to the organising team and all of the sponsors for the effort they put into making the event such a success.
It was also a pleasure to finally meet Joe Craig in person and to connect with so many members of the DNN community.
One of the main discussion points throughout the conference was the new MVC pipeline for DNN. This is a major step forward for the platform, allowing DNN to move away from the deprecated Web Forms scripts and modernise the framework for the future.
The MVC pipeline is essential to the continued evolution of DNN. Once fully implemented into future DNN releases, it will give users and clients greater confidence that the platform is progressing with modern development standards and is well-positioned for a strong future with .NET Core technologies.
Thank you again to everyone involved, and I hope to see you all again next year.
Dave
It was such a pleasure to you, Cathy, and the gang after all of these years - more than 20 years in some cases!
besides that, this was a really first rate conference. I'll certainly try to be back in 2027!
Joe
Fully agree. Awesome to see that the project was even further than I realized. Not just the MVC Pipeline but also the amount of people who already engaged.
As one of the sponsors of the project, I recognize this is the essential move forward.
One other thing I learned during the event: there are more people willing to support the project by funding. If you are one of them and don't know how to reach Peter or Stefan, just reply in this thread or send me an e-mail ([email protected]) and I'll get you connected.
The event was great! MVC Pipiline and .NET Core are without any question an important step moving forward. I saw a lot of people raising their hands when the question was: are you playing with the MVC pipeline already? Hopefully next year's event comes with a bunch of new updates about these two important topics.
It was great to see you all again and catch up! And Joe... you're the man! Looking forward seeing you next year so we can have a drink and have a great conversation like the one we had.
At last, thanks to the sponsors and the organizers! your effort on pulling this event off its critical for success! Thank you all!
