Hi all,

I wonder if it is possible to remove a folder (and all files inside this folder) using the cleanup component of the manifest. Example:

{component type="Cleanup" version="09.00.00"}
   {files}
      {file}
         {path}UserControls\App_LocalResources{/path}
         {name}MyUserControl.ascx.resx{/name}
      {/file}
      {file}
         {path}UserControls{/path}
         {name}MyUserControl.ascx{/name}
      {/file}
   [...]

({ = <, } = >)

This would remove the resource (language) file and the control, but not the directory structure. But I want to remove the folder "UserControls", and also the resource files from other languages, if there are any (what I might not know...).

Can this be done with the manifest, or do I need the old textfile way? Or do I have to do this programmatically in the IUpgradeable interface?

Happy DNNing!
Michael

This component will only remove empty folders, you will need to remove the files first.

Now, with 9.5.0 and later there is a new support for globbing which will make this easier.
