For anyone interested in workin with the platform I just went through the process of getting things setup again. It has been a while and was having a tough time getting things setup. With the help of a few community members I was able to fight my way through it. Along the way I documented each step I took to do it. I then added some pictures and links in the post I created on GitHub for myself as a reference later and for helping you, our next community contributor!
DNN Platform Developer Quick Start Step-By-Step Setup Guide
Each step is a process to complete, once you complete all steps as shown you should be able to build and run the DNN development website from the DNN Platform GitHub repository.
I took pictures, included help files, links to downloads and a really helpful video to get setup.
Although I followed directions on GitHub, I found myself chasing information. This should help limit the chase!
There are a lot of things that need maintained as you will see many things like build warnings needing resolved. No one will do it anytime soon but you if you can. The sooner we get things cleaned up and bug free the more features can be produced with all the spare time our top developers will have. Well at least that sounds good on paper.
I hope it helps someone eventually.
Thank you for everyones help getting me to this point over past couple days. Follow my steps you should get this done in a couple hours for a first time. I am curious if anyone can :)
