New Around Here

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! May 2024 bring you success, health, and happiness, along with exciting projects for your DNN portals. 🎉

I am looking for a DNN module that can manage and send newsletters. Ideally, it would be a user-friendly tool with features like subscriber list management, customizable templates, and performance tracking (open rates, clicks, etc.). Additionally, the module should not rely on the deprecated Telerik library. For example, I noticed that Cross Bulk Mailer 7.0 is using Telerik, so I’m looking for alternatives.

I was using Axon from Onyaktech for years, but if I want to update my DNN CMS over 9.8.1 I need to find an alternative. Onyaktech goes down few years ago, I would love to hear from Chris Onyak. I am using few of the modules to manage SQL data

If you have any suggestions or feedback on existing modules, I would love to hear about them.

Thank you in advance for your help, and once again, my best wishes for the New Year!

Best regards,

I hope you mean 2025? Otherwise I am a time traveler... Most don't use DNN modules anymore for this but use a cloud solution but if you insist look an mandeeps.com at Live Campaign - DNN Bulk Emails & Email Campaings & Email Marketing

For newsletter we use MailChimp, this is a cloud solution and it helps you protect the domain from been in a blaklist. We recommend you to use a third party solution such as this one.

The DNN.Newsletter module has been updated to remove Telerik. You can find it at https://github.com/DNNCommunity/DNN.Newsletter. However, as Marco mentions, we too highly recommend offloading these types of features from the web server to a 3rd party (e.g., MailChimp), or leverage a 3rd party transactional email provider for delivery (e.g., Sendgrid).

Mailchimp is of course a feasable solution. Another option might be https://appsumo.com/produ...ndfox/?query=SendFox

Commercially it might be an interesting option as it is a lifetime deal. Support (for instance to get your dkim, dmarc etc in order) is also responsive.

Another, https://www.campaignmonitor.com/ We moved to this years ago, with email security more and more an issue, we decided to use this for mail list so our SMTP server reputation could be managed and stay over 80%. For email lists I recommend using a third party system.
