Hello All,

We are using a custom Authentication provider to perform SSO from another Identity provider in the cloud. Our super users only use the standard DNN login, not the SSO provider. I have installed Simple DNN Two Factor Authentication 4.3.3, but it seems to break my other provider, has anyone else encoutered this problem, what else can I provide for info? Please let me know.

Thank you.

Have you reached out to the vendor to see if they can provide an update to fix the conflict for you? This may be the easiest path forward.

Beyond that, you could always try a different authentication provider. There are at least a handful out there that are useful. Here's a simple one we maintain as an open-source extension.

I'll reach out to the vendor, I appreciate the response and the link to the other module. I am assuming I could use this one to do passwordless login for members?

It sounds like the Simple DNN Two Factor Authentication module is conflicting with your custom SSO provider, likely because 2FA is trying to override or interfere with the custom authentication flow. Check if you can apply 2FA only for the standard DNN login to avoid overlap with the SSO provider. Reviewing logs and enabling debugging could show where the conflict happens.

It sure does.  Here's a demo video of the Upendo DNN Simple Authentication Provider.
