Hi,
We are being asked to replace CKEditor 4 since it is end of life and are looking for alternative HTML Editor Providers to use under DNN 9. I see there is a built-in RadEditorProvider but am not that familiar with it and if it might have security vulnerabilities. Are there alternative HTML providers people have used, either for CKEditor 5 or a different provider?
Thank you!
I don't use radeditor, but I don't think there is a suitable replacement yet. There has been some talk about this, it seems CKEditor5 does not have a suitable license. CKEditor4 still works and we still use that. I never like full featured RichText editors, they give the ability to allow the client to make the site look a mess. We use CkEditor4 and we restrict the options to make it easy for our clients. I have been looking at "Quill" https://quilljs.com/ But I still need to find the time to create a HTML Editor Provider for it. We have used it by injecting it into the module, so I doubt I will get time to create a provider any time soon. I'm not sure what is happening with the HTML Editor Provider replacement. Maybe someone else knows.
