Hi,

I want to create a customised module from scratch using DNN Platform 9 Source code. Can anybody help me with the exact steps on how to do so. Any references or documentation related to creating customised modules will also help.

Thanks

Dillip.

As Brian said in another post: don't modify the DNN code itself but use extensions/plugins/etc. Otherwise all your hard work will be ocverwritten during an upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. I got your point.

Can we customise the module/extensions available in the github.

Which modules?

In genera, I would download a copy of the module you want to change, alter the module's name, etc. Then you should be able to install your modified module Make sure that you change names, namespaces, sql tables, etc. so that your module doesn't interfere of otherwise conflict with DNN's version.
